Fetakgomo Tubatse, Limpopo – Mogabane village has been experiencing water shortages even if the nearby mine and Municipality were supposed to help.
Finally we have reached a point where we will no longer suffer from water shortage in our area. As community we decided to visit our Municipality where by they had been sending us from pillar to post for some time. They brought 2 water tanks.
On their arrival they came with new water pumping machine so that we can be able to get water. A problem rose when the water couldn’t reach some of the sections. They promised to bring some pipes so that water can reach the remaining section.
Water problem started last year October, the municiplity had been promising that they will come to our rescue but they didn’t come. We didn’t enjoy our holidays like everyone as some where going up and down collecting water. But we thank God they finally came.
They said that on Monday or Tuesday they will be here to fix this issue so that we can all get water. It’s been a while now lacking water, some of us buy while some goes to the river and it’s not safe to go to the river alone. The river is based on mountain and its far from the hood. Some hire donkey carts to fetch water for them . In the meantime are getting water after 2 weeks.
As residents of our community we are all affected by this matter.
