For a long time, water distribution has not been equal for Blantyre areas. Whilst some areas barely face water challenges, others are forced to look for water despite being connected to the Blantyre Water Board. The people of Kanjedza in Blantyre are some of the people facing this unequal water distribution challenge as they are not able to access running water, some for about 3 days and other households for over a month. Despite reports being made to the Blantyre Water Board, they have failed to address the issue of the pumps approaching the higher areas, for they are most affected in these times, hence leaving them to find alternative water sources daily.
