The children of the Kliprug community especially Phase 3,4 and 5 still does not have safe access to bus services which need to take them to Bella Vista High.
The mothers are worried, the weather is changing again. Hier kom die reën alweer (here comes the rain again), our children will be soaking wet again since they need to walk.
The current bus route is not adequate, it has major health and safety risks for learners. The Department of Education [DOE] had almost 3 weeks to make a decision if they wanted to and wanted to help children of the poor.
If wet learners were a concern to the DOE, they could have made a decicion in favour of the poor.
Today, 24 July 2024 the mothers called for UNITY THROUGH A COMMUNITY PETITION. ONS HET ALMAL SE HULP NODIG. (WE NEED EVERYONE’S HELP)
996 People from Prince Alfred Hamlet, Tulbagh, Nduli and Vredebes signed our PETITION. Transport services to public schools in rural areas are a major challenge to the poor. It is only through Mobilising and Organising that we can WIN✊🏾
