Zimbabwean Government and other stakeholders have challenged learning institutions to prioritize practical lessons as they equip youths with life skills. Speaking during the official launch of two Youths Hubs at Nguboyenja Bulawayo on 6 October, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Youths Sport Arts and Recreation, Dr Thokozile Chitepo said practical lessons will help youths become entrepreneurs in future.

Addressing attendants at the same event, Jairos Jiri President Dr Alvia Senderai said life skills will boost the economy as youths will be capacitated to become employment creators rather than seekers. The Hubs were initiated by Netherlands Development Organization (SNV) under the Opportunities for Employment project whose agenda is to assist 10 thousand youths in life skills and $21 740 USD was channeled in the hubs.
