The children of the Emcengeni, Maphalaleni community are at risk of not completing high school as there are no available schools at walking distances. The children have to wake up very early and risk exposure to crime, abuse and rape along the way especially the girl child. Once in school, they feel sleepy, tired and concentration levels drop. The situation usually lead to teenage pregnancy and school dropouts. The community should be mobilized towards having a plan of action to build a high school in the area.
